Eggnog

One of the worst fdrinks for claoires at Christmas holiday time for your diet is Eggnog.  Eggnog is a really rich drink. Delicious but with high fat ingredients, heavy sugar levels plus alcohol.  Where diets are converned this is a no go zone.

If you prepare the eggnog yourself, there are healthier recipes to use to make more healthy drinks versions however if you are having a shop bught verision the claories in eggnog are high.

Wine

Wine is great at all times of the year. Whether a cool glass in summer or a rich fruity red by the wintertime fireone of the lighter alcohol drinks, wine is a firm favourite. Some wines are light and low in calories such as a dry white . This can be a healthy dirnk especially if mixed with a low cal soda so can be a fairly good option for dieters in the holiday season.

Red sweet wies are heavier on the calories.

Of course in all cases keep watch on how many glasses you have. The calories all add  up and the alcohol may impair impact your food judgement as well!

Cocktails

Cocktails can be dangerous as far as calories go. They are difficult to add up as far as claoires are concerned.  Cocktails can be healthy drinks if you use diet soads and lots of fresh fuit. However start mixing with sugary cordials and sweet liqueurs and the calories mount up.

To be on the safe side, cocktails are best avoided as much as possible.

Hot Chocolate

Alternatively there are many low claories sachets ready made t use  by adding hot water. Hot chocolate can therefoer be a low calorie drink to use in a diet plan.

However the ful fat varieties or those bought drinking out are likely to have a high amount of saturated fat and sugar. Not to mention the calorie overload.

Apple Cider

Apple cider is generally a good option for healthy drinks. It contain some sugar content but if you cut back on carbs elsewhere in your diet, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

Apple cider vinegar is a great way to heat up on a cold winter’s day.
