Special F2 Soup

The F2 diet plan by Audrey Eyton is based on ten main principles helping you towards healthy eating in the long term.  One of these principles is to eat one helping of a special F2 soup each day or alternatively a salad.  This works to boost your fibre intake, which is another principle of the diet, and also to up your vegetable intake to increase the vitamins and nutrition you are consuming on a daily basis.

Recipes for the special F2 soup can be found in the F2 cookbook and there are actually a number of soups that can be used on the F2 diet plan.  It is not just one special F2 soup.  One of these soup versions is the spicy sweet potato soup which combines vegetables, beans, curry and ginger to make a warming spicy soup ideal for cold winter nights.

As the F2 diet plan angles towards recommending a vegetarian diet most of the special F2 soups, any one of which can be used each day towards your quota of fibre and vegetables, are mainly vegetable based.  The soups will contain a high proportion of vegetables, typically a vegetable stock and beans or legumes to increase your protein and fibre intake. The various to provide a variety of different tasting soups.

All in all soups are great for weight loss as they are filling and nutritious.  If you are running short of soup ideas the F2 cookbook provide a great range of soups that are suitable for the F2 diet plan or suitable generally for low calorie diets.
